Golden Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 38 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale brown.

The sparse amount of branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of giant, 8 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in light grey and peach varieties.

In early spring, it produces a handful of small, orange blossoms with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like marzipan.

In early winter it produces small, long, straight fruit. The leathery gold skin is delicate and slightly spicy, and the crunchy yellow flesh is savoury and dry. The blood red seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
