Spineleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is caramel, and is covered in many flexible black spines. The angular, brown trunk can grow to as much as 3 feet (91.4 cm) in diameter at the top. Its emerald branches are very short and thin and start growing at the base the stem.

The thick bunches of smooth-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are either bold blue or vibrant purple, with red edges. They are rigid, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid light grey petals and an aquamarine central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a faint scent that smells like faeces.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the green flesh is sticky, and the beige sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
