Redfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 55 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, wonky trunk covered in thick, cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is light brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of miniature, slender, pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in red, green and black varieties.

In early spring, it produces thousands of medium-sized, beige blossoms with sickle shaped petals. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like freshly washed clothes.

In late autumn it produces , asymmetrical fruit. The clammy beige skin is delicate and edible when boiled; it is savoury, and the soft blue flesh is spicy and powdery. The silver seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
