Crimson Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 138 feet (42.1 meters) and growing as high as 10 feet (3.0 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 12 months for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.5 feet (46 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The very narrow and elongated, clammy leaves reach up to 2.9 feet (89 cm) in length. They are blood red on the sides and azure at the center, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many bunches of small ashy yellow flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of tiny berries.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Several parts of the grass have medicinal properties.
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
