Golden Petal
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This enormous flower grows up to 15.9 feet (4.9 meters) tall. Its silver stem is very thick and straight, and the large, green leaves are thin with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Each stem splits 5 to 7 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 41 cm (16.1 inches) wide, with petals that are generally gold; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 30 petals. They detach easily.
It has an intensely strong scent that smells like baby powder, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
