Copperbell

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This large tree grows up to 66 meters (216.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 575 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, curved trunk covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of smooth, miniature, 2 pointed leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue at the bottom and bright red with azure splotches at the top.

In early spring, it produces bunches of medium-sized, copper blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like a woman.

In late summer it forms small, amber berries.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
