Magenta

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 69 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, burgundy bark, and inside, the very light wood is yellow.

The sparse amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of small, very narrow and elongated leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are magenta on the edges and sky blue at the center.

In early spring, it produces balls of small, silver blossoms with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like new carpet.

In early summer it produces , wide fruit. The crispy cream skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft black flesh is sour and dry. The gold seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
