Pinkcling Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This massive tree grows up to 145 meters (475.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 249 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, brown-green bark, and inside, the very light wood is dark brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with handfuls of crispy, huge, long, tapering leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally pink.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of small, bold green blossoms with broad, flat petals. They detach easily and have a faint scent that smells like old books.

In late summer it forms giant, caramel, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for making strong rope
