Silvergrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, silver and caramel grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in extensive patches that are delicate.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, ashy blue flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
