Aquastrum Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 18 meters (59.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 195 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in thin, knobbly, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.
The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of crispy, large, thick leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of brown that gradient shifts to silver at the top.
In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, dark brown blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They detach easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like fresh linen.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, blood red seed pods.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
