Crimson Vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 28 feet (8.5 meters)0.

It takes 2 years for the red stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The sickle shaped, waxy leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are found in silver and vibrant blue varieties, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several large faded green flowers.
