Cerulean Glowvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 158 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous slender, angular stems covered in paper-thin, silky, gray bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid green with blue lines, frail and waxy.

In mid-spring it produces copious amounts of tiny, olive blossoms with broad, flat petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like blood.

In midwinter tiny triangular fruits ripen. The hairy aquamarine skin is peel-able and inedible, and the soft amber flesh is sweet and oily. The light brown seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It blooms only at night.
