Silverpetal
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 412 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, wavy trunk covered in ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.
The large clumps of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of smooth, miniature, wispy leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of silver that gradient shifts to silver at the top.
In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of tiny, cyan blossoms with 2 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like chocolate.
In late summer it forms small, aquamarine berries.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
