Prismaleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The tapering stem is gray-green, and is covered in thousands of flexible dark brown spines. The stocky leaves are bright purple at the bottom and red with amber dots at the top. Thick bunches of them grow on slender, copper branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are flimsy, and detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 13 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of aquamarine and indigo, with a lime central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 42 petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the black flesh is smooth, and the indigo sap is thin.

The bark is frequently covered in moss.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
