Magenta vine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 37 feet (11.3 meters)0.
It takes 14 months for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The thin, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 11 inches (28 cm) in length. They are either olive, or silver with magenta streaks, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the bine produces dozens of small cyan flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of very large fruits.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
