Silvervine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 149 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, knobbly, black bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The small clumps of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of covered in fine hairs, large, 2 pointed leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in brown, brown and slate varieties.

In early spring, it produces thousands of small, sky blue blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have no scent.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, beige seed pods.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
