Silkwood Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 617 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in fine, silky, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is copper-coloured.
The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of smooth, huge, very narrow and elongated leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either grey or caramel, with slate dots.
In late summer it forms large, red berries.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
