Silverfruit

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 17 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in hard, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white.

The tangled mess of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with handfuls of small, thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are silver at the bottom and grey with beige streaks at the top.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of small, silver blossoms with V-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like blood.

In mid-summer it produces tiny, circular fruit. The waxy dark grey skin is tough and inedible, and the soft aquamarine flesh is bitter and oily. The green seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
