Ambervine

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 15 feet (4.6 meters) and growing as high as 23 feet (7.0 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 11 months for the amber stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and woody.

The very thick, soft leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are brown and drab orange, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several tiny blue flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small fruits.
