Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This huge fruit tree grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 18 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy.
The small handful of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of huge, sickle shaped leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are green and gold.
In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, aquamarine blossoms with perforated petals. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like cheese.
In early summer it produces , cuboid fruit. The rubbery indigo skin is peel-able and inedible, and the crunchy bronze flesh is salty and juicy. The light grey seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
All parts of the shrub are edible.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
