Speckled Brown

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This big tree grows up to 77 meters (252.6 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3418 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The branches trail down across the ground, with thousands of twigs covered with small bunches of small, yellow needles. The needles themselves are tough.

In late summer it produces tiny, gentle green, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
