Magenta
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short caudiciform grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The wide stem is green, and is covered in large amounts of flexible dark yellow spines. The round, hazel trunk can grow to as much as 4 feet (1.2 meters) in diameter. Its gray branches are very long and thin.
The tattered-edged, finger-like leaves are magenta on the sides and intense blue at the center. They are light and frail, but are very difficult to pull away.
It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid cream petals decorated with yellow lines and a peach central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 15 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like burning wood.
The caudiciform's skin is tough, the beige flesh is sticky, and the magenta sap is thin.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
