Pinkheart

This large flower grows up to 2.9 feet (89 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is thick and splits into numerous branching stems at the top, and the tiny, red leaves are stiff, pointed with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

2 to 7 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 62 cm (24.4 inches) wide, with pink petals and a brilliant purple central disk. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They detach easily.

It has the faintest scent that smells like warm cookies, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind and is ignored by most insect species.
