Waterstem Bush

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 91 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous branched, twisting stems covered in waxy, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down across the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, wide, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are either beige or white, with olive edges, rigid and clammy.

In late spring it produces many tiny, lilac flowers with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like bleach.
