Graygrass

This big, gray-green grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The circular stalks grow in sparse patches that are sturdy and flexible and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, black tuft.

During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of giant grains.
