Amber
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 82 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, curved trunk covered in ridged, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black.
The small handful of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, circular leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and peach.
In early spring, it produces large amounts of giant, amber blossoms with stiff, pointed petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like fruity.
In late summer it produces small, oval fruit. The rubbery caramel skin is stretchy and sweet and spicy, and the slightly crunchy purple flesh is sweet and dry. The silver seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
