Blackgold
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This massive tree grows up to 90 meters (295.3 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 112 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in delicate, silky, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is yellow-brown.
The small bunches of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of leathery, miniature, very thick leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are gold at the bottom and amber with drab green streaks at the top.
In late summer it forms tiny, silver berries.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is suitable for making strong rope
