Speckled

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized tree grows up to 26 meters (85.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 603 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, curved trunk covered in ridged, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The abundance of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of sticky, small, needle-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are slate and hazel.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of large, brown blossoms with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have the faintest scent that smells like rotten egg.

In late summer it forms small, crimson, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
