Redvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 50 feet (15.2 meters) and growing as high as 131 feet (39.9 meters).

It takes 20 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The 4 pointed, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are blood red at the bottom and olive with light purple dots at the top, and have rounded edges.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
It can absorb up to 12 times its own weight in water.
