Cyanara
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This massive caudiciform grows up to 157 feet (47.9 meters) tall. The tapering stem is red, and is covered in handfuls of flexible slate spines. It has a straight, narrow, gold trunk atop a flat web of waxy, exposed roots. The branches are slender and emerald and trail down to the ground.
The smooth-edged, thin leaves are solid cyan or pink, with grey dots. They are fairly frail, but do not detach easily.
It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are cyan on the underside and purple on the top grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a cup made up of 20 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like grass cuttings.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the turquoise flesh is soft, and the bold blue sap is thin.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
