Speckled White Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized tree grows up to 47 meters (154.2 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 101 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, wonky trunk covered in very thick, cracked, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is black.

The abundance of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of rough, small, spear shaped leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are washed-out blue at the bottom and light grey with peach zig-zags at the top.

In late summer it forms small, drab yellow, shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
