Crimson Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 14 feet (4.3 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 4 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are tough and woody.

The long, tapering, fuzzy leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are lime and crimson, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of small azure flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces plenty of small berries.

It can flourish even in standing water.
