Azure Bindweed

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 23 feet (7.0 meters) and growing as high as 14 feet (4.3 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 10 months for the silver stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are soft and flexible.

The finger-like, soft leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are solid azure with pink splotches, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of large grey flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
