Blue Clinger
Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. Its florescent blue stem is wispy, and the giant, gray-green leaves are dark lilac on the underside and are thin with irregular edges. 16 leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Hundreds of tiny flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of subtle green. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 30 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.
It has the faintest scent that smells like onion, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
