Silvergrass
Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small, gray grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in thin clumps that are flimsy and they are exceptionally hardy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, slate flower.
During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
