Copperbark

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This massive tree grows up to 125 meters (410.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 123 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.

The sparse patches of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small bunches of fuzzy, tiny, asymmetrical leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are solid dull yellow or lilac, with pastel purple edges.

In late summer it forms small, dark grey seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making paper
