Goldenleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 694 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a slender, straight trunk covered in hard, silky, yellow bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is burgundy-brown.
The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of smooth, tiny, stiff, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of orange that gradient shifts to turquoise at the top.
In early spring, it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, white blossoms with long, narrow petals. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like fresh linen.
In late summer it forms giant, gold aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
