Golden Rainforest Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly flexible; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
