Knobwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in thick, knobbly, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is white.

The sparse amount of branches are short and thin, with thousands of twigs covered with sparse amounts of tiny, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are flexible.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, olive, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

Several parts of the grass have medicinal properties.
It can absorb up to 6 times its own weight in water.
It is suitable for making strong rope
