Thornspire Succulent
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This big caudiciform grows up to 74 feet (22.6 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is moss green, and is covered in brittle bronze spines. It has a straight, flat, grey trunk atop a thick mess of cracked, exposed roots. It is very slow growing, taking 10 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either beige or magenta, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has an intense scent that smells like cheese.
The caudiciform's skin is thin, the florescent red flesh is rough, and the brown sap is thin.
