Aqualimba

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 33 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in silky, black bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.

The extensive patches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with handfuls of miniature, long, narrow leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are either dark brown or vibrant red, with vibrant purple patches.

In early spring, it produces many bunches of tiny, aquamarine blossoms with circular shaped petals. They are hardy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like musk.

In early winter it produces , cuboid fruit. The hairy peach skin is tough and edible when boiled; it is salty, and the crunchy orange flesh is bland and sticky. The crimson seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
