Thorned Emerald Fan
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This small leaf succulent grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is pink-red, and is covered in large amounts of flexible dark grey spines. The smooth-edged, needle-like leaves are a shade of emerald that gradient shifts to hazel at the top. Large amounts of them grow from the base in random directions. The leaves are delicate, and take some effort to detach.
It is slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with white petals and a violet central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 46 petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like a woman.
The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the light grey flesh is leathery, and the light grey sap is thin.
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
