Silverspike Pine

This average-sized tree grows up to 45 meters (147.6 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3062 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, crooked trunk covered in silky, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is silver.

The branches trail down towards the ground, covered with very large amounts of large, yellow needles. The needles themselves are tough.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, black, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
