Aquaflora
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)This large flower grows up to 6.6 feet (2.0 meters) tall. Its yellow stem is very thin and straight, and the large, dark grey leaves are perforated with tattered edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.
A single large flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with petals that are brown in the center, deep blue in the middle and cyan at the edges. The flower head is largely flat with several widely spaced narrow petals. They are sturdy.
It has the faintest scent that smells like bleach, and it has excessive amounts of pollen, but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
