Heartfire Daisy

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is wispy and straight, and the miniature, lime green leaves are dark grey on the underside and are needle-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 42 cm (16.5 inches) wide, with solid cream petals and a dark purple central disk. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of dozens of tightly layered, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like bonfire smoke, and it has excessive amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
