Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 28 feet (8.5 meters) and growing as high as 37 feet (11.3 meters).

It takes 15 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The stiff, pointed, sticky leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are amber and blood red, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many clusters of small dark grey flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces lots of small berries.
