Climbing Creeper Vine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This massive creeper is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,957 feet (901.3 meters) and growing as high as 722 feet (220.1 meters).

It takes 21 years for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2.9 feet (89 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The asymmetrical, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) in length. They are found in dark brown, lilac and copper varieties, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces many clusters of large gentle yellow flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of tiny berries.
