Coniwrap Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 58 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in very thick, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is pale yellow.

The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with handfuls of small, perforated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are violet and beige.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of small, beige blossoms with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a soft scent that smells like faeces.

In late summer it produces small, pleated fruit. The rubbery red skin is delicate and inedible, and the very soft aquamarine flesh is sweet and bitter and very dry. The yellow seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
