Cotton Cactus

This huge cactus grows up to 135 feet (41.1 meters) tall. The thin stem is green, and is dotted with small muted red spines. The round body is green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible white spines.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid grey petals and a peach central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of 9 raised, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cotton.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the cyan flesh is soft, and the beige sap is thin.
