Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 19 feet (5.8 meters) and growing as high as 147 feet (44.8 meters).
It takes 4 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are flat and wavy.
The long, tapering, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are a shade of light brown and moss green that gradient shifts to ashy red at the top, and have jagged edges.
During late spring, the vine produces several small light grey flowers.

The sap is edible and extremely bitter.
